The following three pictures were taken within 50 feet of each other at a botanical garden. I got so many great photos there.

The following three pictures of the spider are of the same spider. The spider was my subject and I really liked taking these pictures even though I really hate spiders.

These pictures are just a few types I like to take, and hopefully I will be able to share some action photography later in the semester.

Aloha,

I have actively been taking pictures since I was in middle school where I was a member of the yearbook club. Although I helped design the yearbook, I instantly took a liking to being the one behind the camera. From there I continued to be a member of the yearbook club all through high school. I am very interested in different types of photography. When I was part of the yearbook club, some of my favorite pictures to take were action pictures of athletes in motion. I have found that I also like to take nature pictures close up, and scenic. I have yet to find one specific style I prefer over another, but I love the challenge of trying different techniques and utilizing new ideas, in order to find my preferred niche.

Since high school, I have married and had three amazing boys. Though my love of photography remained, it took a back seat to raising my boys. My sons are old enough now that I am able to pick up my favorite past time again, which is why I joined this class. My husband also took this class last semester, which really excited me, because it is one more thing that he and I can enjoy doing together for a date. Also, as almost any mother will tell you, taking pictures of kids, specifically mine, is one another of my favorite things to do. The little moments captured in life can bring a lifetime of pleasure.

Mahalo for visiting my blog.
